
Gavin Huntley-Fenner, Ph.D. has a doctorate in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from MIT. His main areas of research involves language and mathematics learning and human factors related to product safety. He is the parent of two children, both of whom are currently in Irvine Unified Schools.
Dr . Huntley-Fenner is a recognized leader on the local, statewide and national level. Locally Dr. Huntley-Fenner is a member of the United States Army Southern California Advisory Committee, the Irvine Prevention Coalition (focused on reducing teen drug use) and other groups. He has also served on the California Statewide Committee for Autism Education and currently serves at a scientific adviser to the United States FDA Risk Communication Advisory Committee.
